Oats, chaff, peas, ryegrass, cocksfoot, ai'd clovers remain as last quoted. Wheat is quoted at Gs 5d f.0.b., and practically all the wheat unsold is in the Pool. The Government Statistician's retnrns of the area under crop may occasion a revival of interest in the near future. Fowl wheat is quoted at 5s Hfd f.o.b. Quotations. Ther* is little good millingwheat to offer locally, and millers who require an odd line or two have to draw their supplies from Canterbury. Some lines cl indifferent quality are held here by the Pool and these are being- disposed of for fowl feed. The market foa this wheat i§ fairfy stca-dv, and 6s 2d per bushel, sacks extra, ex store, is obtainable for the boat quality. This figure applies to beat quality only, ether lines beins slow of sale at reduced prices. Oats—There is little activity m tße oat market. An occasional line is being sold for shipment, but there are only small stocks now held in the stores her*. Most of these oats will be wanted for feed purposes. The market can be quoted as firm at laVte rates, namfclv 3s S£d, f.0.b.5.i., for A's and 3s 7d for B's. These figures are equivalent to 3s 2d and 3s respectively, on trucks, country sidings, sacks extra Consequent on the recent dry weather, a number of farmers had to secure feed oats. Now that there will be a good growth of grass following on th* recent rains, this demand will probably ease oft. The rains Should also materially benefit the crops already planted.
