Tandicu had a cool reception from the Chamber of Deputies, when he went to the Tribune to read the Ministerial declaration, but his reference to home affairs and a series of projects in connexion therewith aroused great applause and captured the whole of the. Right and Centre while members of the Left were obviously in a dilemma, the programme containing much that they desired.
Contrary to expectations, the debate was adjourned to day, when it was expected that the Government would have scored by a narrow majority.
