This u w» of th« annual function* of tb« College, and tii« tnany visitors were welcomed by the chairman of the Board of Gor•raors, Mr McGregor Wright, and the Principal, Dr. D. E. Hansen, an the College Hall. Stressing the point that th« success •f the institution depended upon "the taterwt taken trt tbo work by the parent.', Mr McGregor Wright said that he wax gratified that so many tiMtors could be welcomed to the Colbge that evening. He hoped that their inspect ion of the classes* under actual working conditions would give them a valuable insight into, and toderstanding of, the work. Dr. Hansen outlined the progrcwa of the College during recent periods. The UUege, he said, was growing larger •my year, an iisrrcwse of about 40 leing ftade in the day school this year, ■niung the roll namber just over 1060. there were also orer 2000 evening Mpiis. The various department* of flie school were rtnder the control of bead teachers, who were able to give the pupils the advantage of personal attention. The College was very fortuute in the personnel of its staff. A very valuable acquisition was Mr M. Jew. vocational guidance teacher, who Bad been of much help in finding suitall* «twit bra for boys and girls karate the school. The parents were condacted in small parties through the various dt*partments of the school.
