MUSICAL COMEDY SEASON.
"LIDO LADY'* BOX PLANS. OPEN TO-MORROW. Tlie box plans for "Lido Lady," the opening production of Sic Kenj;imin and Mr John Tullcr's big musical comedy season, will open at The Bristol to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock. Special arrangements have been made to cope with the rush which is anticipated, and it will probably be necessary to form a queue early in the morning. Never before has musical comedy been presented in the Dominion at 3s for reserved 3cat», and in view oi' the keen interest being taken in this coming season, early reservations are recommended. "Lido Lady" will open the season here wiUi a. matinee at the New Opera Houso on Saturday next, and will be staged lor one week only, to be followed by tbe big musical comedy success "Lady, Be Good," and later by other big musical comedy successes. "Lido Lady," r-ngland's latest ;:nd most delightful musical comedy, i* a bright and tuneful show, has so many interesting features that it swings along without a moment of dullness. It ia presented in two big acts and six dazzling scenes; one ot the big scenes is the Queen oi Sheba pageant: costumes in this gorgeous scene are unique, nothing like them have ever Been seen in the Dominion before. The magnificent train worn by Aster I-'aire as the Queen of Slieba is made up of sixty yards oi Batin and is covered with over 2000 ! earls. "Lido Lady" is English musical comedy at its best, i'here are a well defined love thfme, delightful music, and an excellent story told in settings of the Lido and aboard the p.p. Futuria. The theme is handled adequately, garnished with song gems, and haunting refrains. The numerous dances are woven into the movement of the play so that the continuity of the story is never interrupted and can be followed right through the production. This excellent company is headed bv the eminent English comedian, Freddie Forbes, and is supported by an all-star cast including Catherine otewarf, Betty Lambert, Aster Faire, Jack Phillips, Cliff O'Keefe, Charles Perrin, Ernest Arnley Victor Arnlev, Fred "Webber, !• rank Wignall, Vera St. John, Eileen Cower, Ethel Shepherd, and the chorus and ballet are Australian girls, who were selected ae much for their talent as their good looks.
