ALLEGED MURDER.
WOMAN ACQUITTED. (PBESB ASSOCIATION TBLECBiM-, AUCKLAND, November 5. Mrs Pyle, a widow, of Auckland, was acquitted to-day on a murder charge which arose out of the death of a single woman. Amelia Mary Gertrude Pipe, who came from Wit ihi to Auckland in July, but after returning home took ill and died in the W aihi H pital. Two doctors certiiied that deat wis dne to septicaemia following an illegal operation. , , The allegation was that accused na performed the operation, but in summing up, Mr Justice Herdman pointed out that the Crown's case was very weak, as there was no direct evidence of an offence by accused, vhile tne girl's dying depositions definitely stated that accused had merely examined her and had not performed the operation.
