The liimatangi is now due ou Sunday from Foxton. anil load* on Monday for Wellington, Wanganui, and Foxton. The motor-vessel Foxton should arrive on Sunday from Foxton. She is to be dispatched on Monday afternoon on the return trip. Captain P. Johnson has relieved Captain A. Nelson of the command of the Hlmatangi. The cable steamer Iris was to leave Auckland on Wednesday morning to renew the shore end of the Suva-Norfolk cable at Anson Ba.v. The H.M.S. Diomede undocked at Auckland on Tuesday morning, and is to sail on Tuesday next for England. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that the Parracombe is to sail from Montreal on October 15th with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. News has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the steamer Canadian Leader left Montreal on September 15th for Australian ports, via Auckland. The vessel is expected to arrive at Auckland ou October 36th. Two oil tankers are scheduled to reach ' Wellington next month with full cargoes of bnl* oil from the Dutch East Indies for the Shell Company. The Kaneila is due at Auckland about October 3rd. and the Scopulas about October 20th. They will unload at Auckland and Wellington. A further change in the Union Company's intercolonial steatners will be made early next month, when the Marama. at present undergoing overhaul at Auckland, will resume, and the Maungunui will be laid up at Auckland. On Friday. October 4th, the Maheno wiil leave Sydney for Wellington, and the Maunganui for Auckland, and on the following Friday the Marama will leave Auckland for Sydney, the Maheno also sailing from Wellington on the same day. The Dorothy M., the new Diesel-engined trawler, built for Mr Jack Monro, a brother of Captain H. Monro, of the Canterbury Co., was launched on Saturday morning at Auckland. A three-skin boat, diagonal-built, the craft is fitted with a 58 h.p. four-cylinder oil engine. She is a nine-tonner, 50ft over all .with a 14ft. beam and a 4ft ftin draught. Her speed i* about nine knots. Electric light is fitted throughout, and there is a patent coiler on deck. Her roomy fish-bold is insulated wtih cork. The motor-ship Oakhank (Captaiu -1. J. Tullooh) arrived at Auckland from Tampico on Monday morning. After loading ti3oo tons of asphalt. the Oakbauk left Turnpico on August 31st. Fine weather prevailed until !»st Friday, when the vessel encountered a moderate south-east gale. Several heavy seas broke aboard, smashing l the awning spar* and doing other minor damace. The Oakbank is discharging 1800 tons of her cargo at Auckland, and was to pail on Wednesday for .Gisborne, Napier, Weilingrton, and New Plymouth to pnt out the remainder. Flying the house flag of the British India Steam Natation Company, the Union Company's chartered steamer Gamaria arrived at Wellington on Wednesday. Toe Gamarai left Calcutta on August 15th, arrived at Sydney on September 12th. Fine weather prevailed for the trip until the last two days, when the vessel entered a cyclone with heavy weather, but no damage was done. After discharging about 3000 tons of her cargo of sacks and wool bales. the Gamaria left Sydney on September 19tb, and experienced a Bne weather trip across the Taaman. After discharging the remainder of her cargo. 1950 tons, the veesel will leave Wellington to-day to rttfnni to Sydney. The Oamarin was bnilt bv the Palmers' Shipbuilding Company at Newcastle in 1920. being one of fourteen vessels of the same class for tho British India Ste®ni Navigation Company.
