PURE CREAM.

DR. THACKER'S CHALLENGE. An emphatic denial of the truth of Dr. Thacker's allegations as to the impossibility of obtaining cream in Christchurch free from added chemicals was voiced on Tuesday evening by Mr Parlane, a member of the executive of the Christchurch Dairymen's Association, and was reported in yesterday's issue of The Press. This denial was backed up by a statement that the Association would give £lO to some charitable institution if Dr. Thacker could prove his statement. Dr. Thacker replied yesterday that he was referring solely to the milk shops and retail businesses, and not to the milkmen from whom the cream supply came. He added that he had challenged Colonel Dawson, and he was prepared to repeat the challenge.
