SANDERS CUP COMMITTEE.

FINAL MEETING. The final meeting of the Sanders Cup Committee was held on Tuesday, Mr O. Armstrong presiding. The secretary presented the balance-sheet showing a credit of £52 Is lid, which wa* adopted. A letter was received from the Advancement Association asking for assistance in connexion with some advertising previous to the Sanders' Cup contest. It was decided to grant the Association £lO. The secretary was authorised to procure three framed photographs of the start of the first race of the contest and present one each to Messrs Friedmann and Barnes and the Akaroa Borough Council. The sum of £25 was voted to the Regatta Club, it having granted the committee a like amount at its inception, and the balance, estimated at £l3, was voted to the Regatta Club with a recommendation that the sum be utilised towards prize-money at the next regatta for outboard motors, yachting, and rowing events. The chairman paid a tribute to all the members of the committee, who had given him such loyal support during the whole period of its existence. It was one of the most enthusiastic committees that he had been associated with.
