PRIDE OF CHRISTCHURCH TENT.
P.C.R. Bro. A. Gray presided at a meeting of the Pride of Ohrigtchurch Tent, held on Monday. Advice was received from the D.S.F.M. that the Tent had won the Philipson Sisters' Banner. This is the third time in succession that the Tent has won this banner, and on the motion of Bro. Bascand a vote of thanks wsb passed to the sisters of the Tent for their enterprise and labour for the prosperity of the Tent. Three new members wei-e initiated. The half-yearly balance-sheet of the Tawera Juvenile Tent was presented by Sister A. Pycroft and adopted. The Tent was honoured with a visit from the Sons and Daughters of Temperance Lodges. In welcoming the visitors, Bro. Bascand expressed the pleasure of the Tent at the visit, because the two societies iad so much in common. He honed that one day an amalgamation of fir.
