BETWEEN TWO REEFS.
STEAMER AGROUND IN HEAVY SEAS. (I'KIIW PSBBS ASSOCIiTJOK—*T »t-SCTOS<S TBLIOEiPB COPT*KJ*T.) COLOMBO, September 22. The German steamer Hoehst is aground off Minicoy Island, 400 miles from Colombo. It is a storm-swept spot in the monsoon area. A wireless message late in the evening stated that the tug Hercules is expected to reach the disabled Hoehst nt tea o'clock to-morrow morning. A message from the Hoehst says that the forepeak is flooded xnd that lower holds 1 and 2 are partly flooded. The vessel is gradually getting out of control owing to the heavy seas, a tt <! the crew have been compelled to throw the cargo overboard. Another German steamer is cjpeeted to reach Minicoy Island, and will stand by till the arrival of the Herenles.
