A NARROW ESCAPE.

(PBES9 ASSOCIATION TBMO*AX.) HAMILTON, September 23. Mrs Florence Tootel, widow, received a severe shock when a car driven by her daughter went over a culvert at Horshaw Downs yesterday. The car skidded In loose shingle, and was prevented from falling into a creek by a spare tyre fixed on the rear. The tyre caught'in the abutment of the culvert and kept the car hanging. The other occupants were slightly injured.
