HINEMOA HELD UP AT WESTPORT.
WATERSIDERg REFUSE TO COAL VESSEL. (PBBSB AaSOCt4TIOV TBLEOB AM.) WESTPORT, September 23. The Hinemoa, purchased at Auckland for Mr D. W. MeK&v, arrived at Westport on Saturday to load bsnker coal prior to proceeding to Bluff. Owing to non-union labour being employed as fireman, the watersiders have withheld handling the coaL A meeting of the watersiders to discuss the position tries place to-morrow morning. While the vessel has been in port one of the firemen has had a rough handling from men on other vessels, and again, allegedly, by a local resident, resulting in an arrest.
