CITY COUNCIL. IN THE MATTER OF "THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS ACT, 1920." rIS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the following Resolutions were adopted at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Conncil held in the City Council Chamber. 194 Manchester street, at 8 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 16th day of September, 1929: ' (1) THAT WHEREAS Section 29 of "The Christchurch By-law No. 1" provides that no dwellinghouse shall be erected on any parcel of land which has not • frontage of at least 33 feet to some public or private street laid out by permission in writing of the Council, and which has not an area of at least 20 perches; AND WHEREAS Mrs Alice Maud Reeves, owner of Lot 1, Deposit Plan 2522, Part Rural Section 6, situate in Carlton Mill road, is desirous of subdividing the said section in such a manner as to leave Lot 2 with a lesser frontage than 33 feet, and as fall compliance with the said Section' 29 would create great hardship, NOW THEREFORE the Christchurcb City Council by Special Order hereby resolves under the authority of Section 3 (2) of "The Christchurch By-law No. 4," to dispense with such full compliance and permit the said Mrs Alice Maud Reeves to build one dwellinghouse upon the said parcel of land, PROVIDED that the erection of _ such dwellinghouse under the authority of this Special Order shall be subject to the By-laws of the Christchurch City Council now in force, and to all Statutory provisions relating to open spaces to be provided for dwellinghouses and for the prevention of overcrowding. (2) THAT WHEREAS Section 29 of "The Christchurch By-law No. 1" provides that no dwellinghouse shall be erected on any parcel of land which has not a frontage of at least 38 feet to some public or private street laid out by permission in writing of the Council, and which has not an area of at least 20 perches; AND WHEREAS Messrs Packer and Jones, Ltd., owners of Lot 1, Deposit Plan 8983, situate in Papanni road, are desirous of subdividing the said section in such a manner aa to leave Lot 2 with a lesser frontage than 33 feet, and as full compliance with the said Section 29 would create a great hardship, NOW THEREFORE the Christchurch City Council by Special Order hereby resolves under the authority of Section 2 (2) of "The Christchurcb By-law No. 4," to dispense with such full compliance and permit the said Messrs Packer and Jones, Ltd., to build one dwellinghouse upon the said parcel of land, PROVIDED that the erection of such dwellinghouse under the authority of this Special Order shall be subject to the By-laws of the Christchurch City Council now in force, and to all Statutory provisions relating to open spaces to be provided for dwelling-houses and for the prevention of overcrowding. AND it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing Resolutions will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christ church City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street, at 7.30 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 14th day of October, 1929, for confirmation as Bpecia] Orders.
