The annual dinner of the founder of the McLean Institute (the late Mr Alan McLean) was held at "Holly Lea" on Thursday evening, when most of the beneficiaries were present, a* also were the chairman of the Board of Governors (the Mayor, Mr J. K. Archer), and the following members: Meadames W. S. Bean and J. H. Wilson, Messrs George Harper, H. A. Young, S.M., Bishop West-Watson, and the secretary (Mr W. F. Hilson). Apologies were received from Archbishop Julius, Bishop Brodie, the Rev. After the usual toast list had been honoured, music and dancing were enjoyed.
