Percy Thomaß Timmins, charged with failing to comply with the terms of his release upon probation, was remanded to appear at Timaru on September 17th. CHILDREN'S COURT. (Before Mr 11. P. Lawry, S.M. > A youth, who stole property valued at 10s, was placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Officer for 12 months. For driving a motor-car in a manner dangerous »o the public, a schoolboy was ordered not to use his license for one month. Evidence was to the effeiJt that the boy had accelerated and passed a motor-car and a trumcar on the wrong side. Mr Lawry said that there was more 'n driving than jnst holding the wheel, and the youth should study the rules and regulations tifed on the road. "I hnd passed my test two days before I was accosted, but I had not got my 'ticket,' '' said a boy who was before the Court for - riding a» motor-cycle without a license. He was -admonished and discharged. A boy who stole £ls, in various sums, from liis employers, was given a chance to make good during a period of two years supervision by the Child M elfare Officer.
