CAR DRIVER EXONERATED.

The inquest concerning the death of Rose Fear, a widow, who while cycliag at Glandelands on August i|th, oek lided with a motor-car with fata! re. suite, was held tp-day. The evidence indicated that the woman was crossing the road towards the footpath on her right-hand side and the ear. driven by George W. Carter, of Cambridge, was coming in the opposite direction. The driver swerved to go behind her, and when she suddenly noticed the car she tried to swerve back to her lefy hand side. She was caught on the bonnet of the car and carried some distane*. The Coroner (Mr Wyvern Wilson) found that death was due to this cej» lision, and expressed the opinion that the driver, was not to blame.
