ORGAN RECITAL.

DR. BRADSHAW AT THE CATHEDRAL. * After an interval of some months, Dr. Bradshaw started last night a new series of his fine organ recitals. The programme was again very attractive, with Bach's fantasia and fugue in 6 minor at the' head, followed by way of extreme contrast by an andante drawn from a quartet of Debussy. Other very original numbers were chosen from the works of Martini and Coleridge-Taylor ; while Sibelius's tonepoem, "Finlandia," appeared in effective transcription from its orchestral .Original. Provision is always made for that variety in taste that omits bad taste, something to be thankful for in these davs, when even this grand and stately instrument is being invaded and degraded by frivolities quite outside its legitimate domain. t>r. Bradshaw's execution remains at its height and he adapts himself to every style with the discrimination of the artist. The recital was fairly attended and the next one will be given on Thursday, the 19th of this month.
