TEMUKA-GBRALDINE. The annual meeting of the Temuka and Geraldine A. and P. Association was held yesterday, Mr Geo. Fletcher presiding. The nineteenth annual report stated that the gate receipts at the last show were £l6 I better than a year ago, and all other re- ! ceipts showed an increase. Exhibits in practically every section were of a high standard, and were most favourably commented on. The new loading bank proved a great boon in handling stock, and was favourably commented on by exhibitors. The additional windows in the produce shed has overcome the complaint of shortage of light wnere the grain and seeds were exhibited. Additions had also been made to the cattle pens. The cash balances totalled £447 4s 9d, and tltf! assets, after writing off 10 per cent, depreciation, were £9OO 4s 9d. / The election of office-bearers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr T. D. The date of the next show was fixed for March 27th, 1930. and it was a recommendation that in future the show be held annually on the last Thursday in March of each year. The following new members were elected: —Messrs A. Lowrie. M. Brophy, J. C. Hayhurst, and J. M. Little, and Mrs Geo. Fletcher. It was decided that the secretary's salary be increased by £lO per annum. BANKS PENINSULA. The 19th annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula A. and P. Association was held at Little River, Mr G. Murray presiding. Motions of sympathy were passed to the relatives of the late" Messrs R. Latter and H. Ftannery. Two new members were elected. The report showed that another successful seaßon had been experienced. The membership.had been well maintained an* now stood at 253. Mention was made of the success of the district bay at the Christchnreh Winter Show and of the great assistance that the following had given: Mr and Mrs Parlane. -Mr and Mrs P. Coop, and Mr A. K. Several recommendations for alterations to the prize list were adopted. Mr W. H. Montgomery brought up the matter of holding a flock competition m connexion with the Association and suggested three classes for flocks ot 300. 500, and over 500 sheep. After a discussion, the matter was referred to the Sheep Committee for a report. A number of special prizes were given in the room. A donation of £5 was made to the secretarv for his work in connexion with the Winter Show, and he was also voted a bonus of £lO.
