Brennan, general secretary of the Seamen's Union, commenting on the action of the secretary of the Victorian branch, Mr O'Neill, declared that Mr O'Neill had no authority to threaten trouble. His conduct would be reviewed at a special meeting of the Seamen's Union to-morrow. —Australian Press Association. [Mr O'Neill said recently that men who subscribed their names to the Australian Seamen's Union, a rival organisation of the Seamen's Union, would lose their employment, and if the owners insisted upon employing them vessels would be neld up. The Federal Government stated that if the threat were true the Government would take steps to maintain the shipping services. Mr O'Neill replied with veiled threats against the Government, which he accused of partiality towards "a few rebellious men." j
