The new system of street lighting in the Cashmere riding of the Heathnote County was switched on for the first time on Mondav night. The installation is not yet quit© completed, but on Monjny night it wa« possible to get power right round the hills, and into the street lighting circuit. A number of lamps have vet to be focused. when they will give their maximum efficiency The general effect on Monday night was very fine.
