TECHNICAL COLLEGE.

ELECTION OF GOVERNORS. Nominations eloaed yesterday for the election of members of the Christchurch Technical College Board of Governors, one each representing the parents of pupils and the members of public school committees. The nomination of the sitting member representing the school committees was the only one received, and Mr T. W. West was declared elected* The sitting member representing the parents (Mr W. Jones) did not seek re-election and the following nominations have been, received: —Mr W. T. Conibear, 47 Averill street, North Richmond, builder; Mrs Mary Gow, 97 Ranfurly street, St. Albans; Mr George Shipley, Island Farm, Harewood. Voting papers are now being sent to parents for return on or before August 15th. The result of the election will be made known on August 22nd.
