There was a moderate turnover of stocks on call on Saturday, the bulk of the transactions being in New Zealand Breweries shares. Exclusive of vestibule dealings, the turnover included: — £SOO 51 per cent. Stock, 1933. 100 Australian Bank of Commerce. 200 National Bank of Australasia £5 paid. 200 N.Z. Guarantee Corporation. 200 N.Z. Refrigerating Co., 10s paid. 300 New Zealand Breweries. 100 Timaru Brewery, 5s paid. 100 British Tobacco. 500 Mahakipawa. 1800 Winding Creek, 6s paid. 200 Winding Creek, Is paid. New Zealand Government 5J per cent. Stock, 1933, changed hands at £99 17s 6d, buyers staying in at £99 15s, no sellers. Buyers of the 5-£ per cent. 1936 Bonds moved up to £lOl 12s 6d, but sellers were scarce. Commercial Bank of Australia shares were firm at 30s, and more were offered at that figure, buyers at 29s lid. National Bank of Australasia £5 paid shares eased to £9 15s, sellers arid business, buyers at £9 14s 6d. Buyers of Bank of Adelaide shares raised their offers to £lO 2s, no sellers offering. N.Z. Guarantee Corporation shares were taken at 9s 2d, and more were offered at that figure, buyers at 9s Id. N.Z. Eegfrigerating Co. partly paid shares were fractionally firmer at 7s sd, market closing Id on either side. New Zealand Breweries shares recovered some of the previous fall with dealings at 83s, 83s 3d, S3s 6d, 83s 9d, 83s 6d, and 83s 3d, market closing 83s buyers, 83s 3d sellers. Timaru Brewery shares sold at 8s sd—the fully paids had improved demand at 14s lOd, but sellers want 15s 3d. British Tobacco shares were fractionally weaker, with buyers and busi ness at 48s 4d, sellers at 48s sd. Mahaki pawa Goldfields shares remained at 5Jd. an<. there were further buyers at that price, sellers at 6d. Winding Creek 6d paid shares were firmer with dealings at 2s Id and 2s 2d, and further buyers at 2s 2d, sellers at 2s 3d—the Is paid shares moved up a point to 2s 4d. SATURDAY'S TRANSACTIONS.
