RUGBY JUBILEE.

BIG CHURCH PARADE. SERVICE AT BARRACKS. i ! Octogenarians, middle-aged men, voung men, and boys, marched in procession yesterday to the King Edward Barracks on the occasion of the Canterbury llugby Union's Jubilee Church Parade, which was as big * success as anticipated, over 1260 being on parade. Assembling at Cranmer square, the parade marched along Chester street and Oxford terrace to the Bridge of Remembrance, where heads were bared as a mark of respect to the men who had fallen in trie Great War, some hundreds of whom were players of the Rugby code. At the Bridge a halt of a minute was made, while a wreath from the executive was placed on the structure by Mr W. Maxwell, who had been a corporal in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, another wreath beinc deposited on behalf of the Higfi School Old Boys Football Club. The parade then marched into the King Edward Barracks, where a service was held. , , . The parade made a brave showing, each club having its oldest representatives at the head of its group, and large crowds lined the route. After the parade had entered the Barracks, the public were admitted, so that when the service was commenced there was an attendance of some thousands. Parade State.
