"What ib a "private car" and what is a "business car"t The matter was under consideration at a meeting of the .North Island Motor Union's executive in Wellington, when it was decided that better definitions were required. It waa estimated that 70 per cent, of car owners described their vehicles as "private cars" when taking out their third-party insurances. A letter on the subject was received from the Minister for Transport (the Hon. Mr Yeiteb>, who said he would be pleased to receive suggestions relative to the matter. Finally, it was decided to send to the Minister for Transport, the following definitions: "A private car is one which is used substantially for private nse. A business car is one which is used substantially for business purposes."
