FIRE AT LITTLE RIVER.

BOARDING-HOUSE RAZED. A large two-storey boarding-house in Little Kiver was totally destroyed by fire last night. The building, a wooden one, standing near the railway station, was recently occupied bv Mr J. P. Elliott. He moved to ■ house across the road recently and the place was empty when the fire broke out about 10.30 p.m. The premises were fairlv old and burned quickly. The iron stables and buildings adjacent were saved by the efforts of a bucket brigade. The cause oi the outbreak is unknown. A man usually sleeps on the premises, but he was absent when the fire broke out.
