"TWO LOVERS."
A MAGNIFICENT FILM. OIVIO, MONDAY. Few pictures of the magnitude of "Two Lovers" have ever been produced, and according to reviewers very few have attained the tenseness and dramatic values in suspense, action, and mystery that Fred. Niblo, the creator of "Ben Hur," has achieved in his latest picture. "Two Lovers," which is to commence » season in Christchurch on Monday. After reviewing the picture in London a leading critic wrote as follows:— "Superlatives, which are necessary to describe our reactions to this picture, have been used so often and without apparent reason, for all types of pictures, that their use hera would be misinterpreted. Therefore we simply say that is the most beautiful and the most entertaining film we have seen for months. There is never a moment whan it is not breathlesslv interesting, and each scene, whether employing a few persons or thousands is like a gorgeous painting or tapestry. The story has been adapted to the screen from Baroness Orczy's famous novel, Leatherface, and is the final picture in which those popular stars—Ronald Colman and \ ilma Banky—will be seen together on the screen.
