[Roger Williams and Lewis Vancey, two Americans, attempted a non-stop flight from Maine, U.S.A., to Kome. They made a successful Atlantic crossing, but were forced to land at Santander, Spain, owing to lack of fuel. They decided to continue to Kome on Wednesday.]
