♦ Social sod Dance. The fortnightly social and dance held in aid of various stalls for the coming flower show was heia in St. Mary s Schoolroom on Tuesday* when the stallholders of the icecream stall (Messrs Bate and Hedgeman) were responsible for the juccess of the evenine Items were contributed as follows: Songs, Miss Alma Hedgeman and the Rev. P A Tooley violin solos, Miss Flome Rayra'on." The'lucky-spot waits mi yon by Mr P Nicbolls and Miss A. Whittmgton. Music for tbe dancing was supplied by Mrs Loner, and Mr Cogle extras. The Rev. F. H. Tooley was M.C. Rifle Hatch. A match between the A and B teams of the Heathcote Club was won by the latter by 532 points to 528. Maori Entertainers. At the Heathcote Club Hall the Methodist Maori Mission Party gave a very interesting programme of songs, poi dances, stone-age nmes and instrumental mnsic. The party were welcomed by Mr W. 3. Burnell on behalf of the local church and its adherents.
