(P3ESS ASSOCIATIOX TXL^G3AK.> CARTERTON, July 10. Roy Chapman, aged 18, son of Mrs S. Swan, was found shot at an early hour this morninw in a stable a hundred yards from the house. The youth had been to a dance at Kopuarartga, and is alleged to have had a tiff with a girl. It is reported that he shook hands with his friends, intimating that they would not see him ngain. He then went home. At 3 a.m. his mother and a brother heard a shot. Thev went to investigate, and found the lad lying dead in the stable with a shotgun alongside.
