The recent disturbance is moving eastward off New Zealand and the centre is now approaching Chatham Island. There ie a fairly intense anti-cyclone over eastern Australia the centre being further north than usual. A continuance oi westerly weather is likely. Present indications are for moderate to strong south-westerly winds freshening at times north of Kawhia and Tauranga: sees moderate to rather rough generally but decreasing on the East Coast; moderate to strong; west to south-west winds and rather rough seas in tho eastern Tasmin; somo scattered showers
