M.E.D. BUILDING.
TENDER ACCEPTED FOR EXTENSIONS.
Last evening the City Council decided to accept a tender for extensions to the Municipal Electricity Department's office building, Manchester street. The Electricity Committees report stated that these extensions provide for a demonstration room and Committee room, increased lavatory accommodation, special room for office machines, and other extensions and modifications. The tenders were: Head and Webb, £7840; J. Hammett and Sons. £8078; G. L. Bull, £8200; P. G'aham and Son. £8220; J. and W. Jameson, £8271; D. Scott and Son, £8350: N. McGillivray, £8480; and G. White. £9320. . , .The. lowest tender was accepted. The clause was adopted.
