NORTH LINWOOD KINDERGARTEN.
The monthly meeting of the North Lin wood Free Kirdergarten was held in the school hall, Mrs Calder presiding. Those present were: Mesdames Retalliek, Stewart, and Powell. Resignations •were received from Mrs Martin and Mrs Norman. Accounts amounting to 18s 6d were passed for payment. It was reported that at a recent jumble sale the sum of £S was raised towards the funds, and the committee thanked parents and friends for gifts for the sale. The school report shows a roll number of 54; highest attendance 50, lowest (wet day) 14; average attendance, 46. During the month, parents had been invited to the kindergarten in order to form a Mothers' Guild. Mie3 Hell
spoke on the mental and physical characteristics of children. The Parents' Committee provided afternoon tea. Gifts ot' pictures were gratefully received from ilesdarnes Seney, Retalliek, and Martin. Mrs Retalliek and Mrs Stewart were appointed visitors to the school this month. Subscriptions for the month amounted to £3 los 10d.
