The Trades Union Council sought to arrange for .i deputation to the Prime Minister with ■'he idea of preventing the abolition of the Arbitration Court, but Mr Bruce declared that such a deputation would serve no useful purpose, as the Government bad ffiade up its mind. Moreover, it was a matter of policy.—Australian Press Association.
