TRAVIS BEQUEST SUBSIDISED. It was announced a few weeks ago that the trustees of the Travis Estate had presented £7OO to the North Canterbury Hospital Board for the purchase of additional supplies of rarlium tor the Board's Radium and Deep Therapy Department. The gratiiving news has been received bv Dr. P. Clennell Fenwick, officer in charge of the Department, that the Government has granted a subsidy on the £7OO given by the Travis Trust. Dr. Fenwick told a representative of The Press yesterday that lie had sent out an order for more radium needles which, when they come to hand, will greatly add to the sphere of usefulmcs of the department.
