BISHOP BENNETT.
RETURNING NORTH TO-NIGHT. The Right Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa. had a busy round of visits yesterday. In the morning he called at College House and the Cathedral Grammar School: he visited Rapaki in the afternoon, and m the evening broadcasted a greeting in Maori to the Maoris of both the North and South Islands, thanking them for the kindly way in which they had received him during his first tour. The greeting in Maori was followed by an address on the pronunciation of the Maori language and its dialectal variations in the south. He concluded by telling some of the legends of the South Island. To-day the Bishop will visit Christ s College, where he will have lunch, and in the afternoon will visit Te Waipounamu College and St. George's Hospital before leaving again for the north in the evening. . The Bishop said that he enjoyed his visit to the West Coast very much. It was the first time he bad visited it and the scenery, especially the alpine scenerv, was wonderful. He had not been able to get as far south as Bruce's Bay. but had visited tho Maoris at Arahura.
