DISBANDED.

M.P.'S COMMITTEE'S DECISION. Before proceeding with the hearing of deputations yesterday the Canterbury Members of Parliament Committee, which came into existence nine years ago as a result of discussions between the Canterbury Progress League and Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P., decided to disband, so that in future the members would receive representations as individuals, and not as a body. The reason for this action is, it is stated, the necessity for dealing with the matters brought up in a strictly non-Party manner. The members.felt that no good could result from the passing of resolutions, and that in the circumstances it would bo better for the Members of Parliament to be called together as occasion arose and to deal with matters brought before them as individuals.
