NEW BRIGHTON BRIDGE.
i YESTERDAY'S CONFERENCE. A conference was held at the Xew Brighton Borough Council Chambers yesterday between representatives of the Borough Council, the Christchurch City Council, tho Heath cote County Council, and the Christchurch Tramwav Board to discuss plans in reapeet of the new bridge which it is proposed to build in order to replace the present structure over t-ha Avon. The proceedings were conducted in committee, the Mayor of New Brighton (Mr J. H. Shaw) subsequently informing a representative of The Press that there was nothing to report beyond the fact that tlie conference had arrived at certain conclusions were subject to confirmation of the dir. ferent bodies concerned.
