KAIAPOI BEAUTIFYING ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Kalapoi Beatifying Association wu held last night. Dr. M. Ramsay presiding over a good ittcßluM of members. The annual report ctated that the i»» elation maintained the excellent position it had earned for itself In Kalapoi. It was now that the good work of several seasons past was beginning to show results. Daring the year 12 meetings had been held, with an average attendance of 13 members. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £3OO 18s, and it was hoped that the amount would be sufficient to carry on for the coming year. The Association had taken over part of the railway station reserve, and this had been formed into a shrub garden, which was domg well. The annual carnival was again a flnanelal success, the Association making approximately £2OO. The Association extended its thanks to the donors of prises and the ladies for their valuable assistance on the-TV.
