MOTOR-BUS SERVICE.

TENDERS CALLED. Recently the Tramway Board called for tenders for a motor-bus service between the City and Avonside. A few tenders have been received, and will come before the Board at its next meeting. The object in calling for tenders is to ascertain if private enterprise is prepared to provide the service at a lower figure than the Board haa been able to provide it.
