An unprecedented drought in HongKong has resulted in the most serious water supply crisis in the colony's history, the Government stating that there is less than three weeks' supply. Steamers from surrounding ports are tilling their ballast tanks with water ior carriage to Hong-Kong, where 15 huge tanks are being constructed along the waterfront to accommodate the incoming supply There have been a number of minor fights in Hong-Kong street* during the rationing of water.
