KNOCKS DOWN TELEGRAPH POST. Swerving to avoid a cyclist in Wilson's road late oa Saturday afternoon, a motorist. William C. Shilling, collided with a telegraph post and received a cut on the head. So great was the force of the impact that the post was snapped off at ■ the ground, bringing telephone wires down with it. Skilling was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition is reported to be satisfactory.
