FARMER FINED £2. (FBBdS ASSOCIATION TBLSGAA.iI.) WAIPUKURAU, May 17. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Thomas Daniel Prusaing, a farmer, of Teuri, pleaded guilty to having in his possession a sheepskin and head from which an ear hod been removed. Evidence as to finding the skin was given by Detective Farquharson, who stressed the seriousness of interfering with earmarks. Counsel for defendant said defendant, a returned soldior-settler, bore an excellent character. He had killed the sheep unaware that the ear was missing. He was unable to -account for the incident. , . The Bench, entering a conviction and a fine of £2, said that farmers would (be well advised to acquaint themselves with the Act governing such cases.
