The honorary medical staff wrote to the Otago Hospital Board yesterday notifying the formation of a special cancer committee consisting of th« surgeon, chief of staff, radiologist, gynaecologist, or other specialist concerned, the physician or surgeon in charge of the particular case investigated, pathologist, bacteriologist, and surgical tutor. Xjio purpose of th© committee is that frequent consultations may be held upon cancer cases in hospital and other cases referred to it for the advantage of sufferers and the advancement of the study of the disease. The committee will meet frequently and report to the stafF, making recommendations for improvement in the investigation and treatment of cancer cases.
