ELABORATE FUNERAL CEREMONIES.

SHANGHAI, May 16.
Plans for the State funeral o£ the late Dr. Sun Yat-sen, China's revolutionary leader, who died three years ago at Tientsin and whose remains were preserved in order that they might be deposited in a special mausoleum in the Purple Mountain, Nanking, ara almost completed. . An announcement from the capital states that the burial, which is scheduled to occur on June Ist, will conclude with probably the most elaborate funeral ceremonies ever beheld in the Far East. They will last a week. A special road has been cut through the heart of Nanking for the purposes of a procession, the Government ruthlessly demolishing thousands of native homes without compensation.—Australian Press Association.
