The Council of St. Saviour's Guild were unable to reach any decision last evening as to whether an offer of the Canterbury Education Board, made at its last meeting, should be accepted. At the meeting of the Board a deputation from St. Saviour's Guild waited upon the Board requesting it to take over the Girls' School at Shirley. The Board decided to offer the St. Saviour's Guild a side school subject to the buildings being satisfactory. It this offer were accepted, the children in the school, up to Standard 11., would stay at Shirley, and the older girls would go to either Shirley or Richmond Public School. The Council of the Guild will again consider the offer at its next meeting.
