The Air Enquiry Committee appointed to investigate the forced landing of the Southern Cross and the Kookaburra tragedy will hold its first meeting in Sydney on May 14th. The enquiry will be public and the committee will welcome evidence relevant to the investigation from any person. —Australian Press Association. SOUTHERN CROSS AT MASCOT. SYDNEY, May 4. The Southern Cross flew this morning from Richmond aerodrome to Mascot, where it undergoes an overhaul in readiness to resume the flight to England.—Australian Press Association. The Aberdeen Commonwealth Line announces a substantial reduction in fares between Melbourne and Colombo in the spring and summer months, from January to July 31st.
