An anti-tyeione still extends betwo?n Xew Zealand and Kastern Australia. There is evidence of a cyclone developing: north of Lape ilaria. Present indications arc for moderate to strong south-east to east winds north of Kaivhia and Gisborne, increasing to gale forco at places, elsewhere variable, but moderate easterlies to northeriies prevailing, and later freshening; seas rather rough north of Fast Cape, elsewhere sriooth to moderate; moderate to strong south-east to east winds in the northern portion of the oastern Tasman Sea, with rather rou;h seas; moderate east l<» northerly winds in the southern portion, with smooth to moderate seas: the weather eloudy and unsettled north of Ivawhia and ♦iisborne, with rain developing; elsewhere mainly fair at first, but unsettled conditions srradually extending southwards; cold night temperature, with inland frosts ia South Island, hut milder tomorrow.
