The Corinna is timed to load at Lyttelton on Wednesday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. The intercolonial freighter Karetu is due on Thursday from Newcastle, via Sydney, Bluff, Oaraaru and Timaru. On discharging and loading she proceeds to Sydney. The Katoa, from Portland, via Wellington, is expected here on May 12th with cement for discharge. The Port Napier sailed last evening for Wanganui, where the vessel will continue her loading. The Port Hunter arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Bluff to continue her loading for London. The Wairau, due here to-morrow, will load on Monday for Blenheim. The vessel will also take cargo for Seddon, Ward, and Havelock. The Port Auckland, from New York, left Colon on Monday for Auckland, where she is due on May 20th. The Ruahine, en route from Wellington, left Curacao on Tuesday for Southampton, where she is dne on May 10th. A smart passage from Los Angeles to Auckland was made by the Union Company's motor ship Hauraki, under Captain Toten, which reached Auckland at 6.40 p.m. on Tuesday, four days ahead of schedule (writes the "Auckland Star"). Fine weather was experienced until Sunday, when she ran into a stiff head wind. Her time from wharf to wharf was 20 days, but as she anchored in the stream for the night, her actual time was 20 hours less. She maintained an average speed of 11.9 knots. The voyage is the fastest the vessel has dotfe. The Tamaroa. which arrived at Auckland on Monday e-xening, is commanded by Captain W. H. PORT STILL BUSY.

The waterfront at Lyttelton was again Tory busy yesterday, and there was a shortage of labour. The Port Hunter, which arrived in the morning to load, did not start until last evening, when labour was transferred from the Port Napier on her departure. The port will be busy to-day also, and should remain busy for the next few days.
