DISARMAMENT.

COUNT BERNSTORFF'S RETORT. (tutted pejbss association— by electric telegbaph—copyright.) (Received May 3rd, 7 p.m.) GENEVA, May 3. The Disarmament Commission spent hours inconclusively discussing the limitation of war material, whether in stock or on service. Mr Hugh Gibson (United States) said that he recognised the close connexion between stocked material ana trained reserves. Baron Sato (Japan) pointed out that limitation could be effected through the Budgetary Estimates. Other delegates favoured direct limitation. When someone said: "This is impossible!" Count Benistorff (Germany) retorted: "It has been applied in the case of Germany." The discussion was adjourned.—Australian Press Association.
