WORKMAN OVERCOME BY GAS.

While excavating a manhole in Tuam street, near Antigua street, yesterday morning a workman named John Hislop McGuffogg was overcome by gas. He was admitted unconscious to the Christchurch Hospital. He regained consciousness later, and his condition is not serious.
